Precision Autobody and Collision is the largest high volume collision repair facility in Pagosa Springs, CO. We are growing and need more qualified repair techs.

We are currently looking for motivated, and preferably experienced, collision repair Auto Body Technicians looking for a career with excellent growth potential with an amazing company.

Our Auto Body Technicians are responsible for making repairs to all assigned vehicles in accordance with Work Orders; restoring them to pre-accident condition in accordance with our standards, and the industry standards of our insurance partners.

We pay very well. $75,000 to $105,000 and potentially more depending on motivation and productivity. Because the above pay range is based on commission, a motivated and productive person could earn more.

About this Position:

Our Auto Body Technicians will:

  • Repair damaged vehicles in accordance with Work Orders and PAC/Insurers standards.
  • Work and communicate with the Shop Manager and Estimator on the vehicle repair status (including identifying supplemental damage and writing supplements).
  • Verify parts for correctness for all assigned jobs.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned such as cleaning the shop.
  • Own an appropriate set of tools in good working order.

 

Experience Required/Preferred:

  • Required:
    • Worked in auto body collision repair or similar.
    • Reliable work history including consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred:
    • 3 or more years of auto body collision repair experience.
    • Frame and measuring equipment experience.
    • I-CAR certification training is a plus.
    • I-CAR welding certification is a plus.
    • Working with Insurance companies and writing supplements.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Can work had and be on time.
  • Can work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Can communicate effectively.
  • Is highly organized, and able to handle and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Can multi-task and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
  • Can manage all assigned jobs/tasks including checking parts for accuracy in a timely fashion to ensure on-time deliveries.

 

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
This position is in a normal repair shop environment.

Occasional physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect repairs, and lifting and carrying objects over 50lbs.

Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise.

Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside.

Required to wear protective equipment when necessary.

Occasional sedentary work.

Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
